π About the Role β Technician / Mechanic
As a Technician / Mechanic at Poppy, your focus is on the electronic and technological aspects of our fleet. You will be the go-to person for diagnosing complex issues, repairing electronic systems, and addressing vandalism-related damages. Your primary focus is advanced diagnostics and electronic repairs. In addition, you are expected to support in- and outfleeting activities when needed. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Vilvoorde workshop, within a hands-on and growing team.
π Your Responsibilities
π Diagnostics & Repairs
Diagnose and repair electronic and technological issues in vehicles (sensors, modules, wiring, displays, etc.)
Address damages caused by vandalism to electronic components
Use and interpret data from diagnostic tools to identify issues
Actively identify root causes of recurring issues and propose structural improvements
π Fleet Support
Assist in in- and outfleeting of vehicles when electronic repairs are completed
Prepare vehicles for deployment, including small technical interventions
Collaborate closely with technical and operations colleagues to keep fleet downtime low

Job requirements
π Your Profile
Strong technical background as an automotive technician or mechanic
Excellent knowledge of electronics and vehicle diagnostics
Experience with diagnostic tools is a must
Problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse fleet (multiple brands and models)
Interest in connected vehicles, telematics or fleet technology is a strong plus
Comfortable with complex and non-standard issues
Fluent in French (required), good English (preferable), Dutch is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full-time presence at the Vilvoorde workshop is required
Valid drivers license B
